Berlin Main Station is the largest multilevel station in Europe and the fourth busiest passenger station in Germany, handling around 300,000 passengers each day.

Schneider planned, constructed and installed the post and beam facades of the arch buildings, giving the station its well-known external appearance.

Challenges of particular note here included aluminium element facades with increased noise protection requirements and certain fire protection requirements.
