more informations

The Landeskirchenamt München (i.e. Church Office) is the administrative headquarters of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria. The building is located in the Maxvorstadt, Munich, Bavaria.

The complex of buildings at the Katharina von Bora Street is the domicile of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bavaria with approximately 300 employees. It is used to manage the national church and is their supreme authority. The additional new areas shall allow the church to concentrate their various buildings, which are at the moment spread over the whole city, in one building. For this project Schneider delivered all timber-aluminum windows and curved timber rainscreen cladding in close consultation with the requirements of the user and the architecture. As a special feature, new complex curved protective curtains were added, which symbolise the church idiom.
