The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Stuttgart region (Industrie- und Handelskammer Region Stuttgart/IHK Region Stuttgart) represents the interests of its approximately 159,000 member companies with respect to politics and administration.

Their new building impresses : The planner Wulf architects offered during the archiectural competition an urban solution that integrates the vineyard as an element of the archiecture and enabled the preservation of adjacent Volkart Building. The Schneider designed, planned and delivered timber-aluminum facade with ist vertical subdivisons , which consist of fiber concrete, underlines the plastic depth of the building. The requirements of the Energy Saving Ordinance have been met and exceeded significantly and increased demands on technology, energy and fire protection are fullfilled up to date. On 7,800 square meters of floor space the new house offers ist member companies, as well as 100,000 visitors annually, an attractive place for advice and events.
